Adding and subtracting integers an application temperature

If the temperature drops from -3°C to -12°C, the change is calculated as −12−(−3), resulting in -9°C. This demonstrates that the change in temperature is found by subtracting the initial temperature from the final temperature. This example is an excellent way to mentally determine changes in temperature and illustrates the subtraction of integers mentally.
